Exploring Quebec City – July 28 2021

Prior to Silvia’s Quebec city workday, she wanted to get a walk in.  Daniel’s neighborhood is really beautiful.  Out of lazyness, I tested the Yakima Bike racks ability to tilt down.  Epic.  No need to remove the bikes.  He headed back down to Ave. Maguire to find some breakfast and coffee.  It’s a real treat to have a nice walk to this little part of town.  Silvia was soon armed with a freshly cooked bagel.  While she worked I was able to visit Canadian Tire for supplies.  My inflatable air mattress did not cut it and I was not sleeping well.  I normallu would have brought by Thermarest but space was an issue.  Luckily Canadian tire has a Woods knock off on sle.  I lso had to solve an issue with our 12 Volt power setup.  I had connected a 12 Volt splitter to both the Cooler and the Inverter.  It was dumb.  The splitter plug had over heated and melted somewhere along the way.  The fuse had eventually blown and was diffifuly to remove.  Fixing the assembly is challenging as it’s possible the melted platic might reveal a short to ground.  for 15 bucks replacing it seems wise.  I also bought another 12 Volt splitter in case that does not work out.  I later connected things differently so the power is properly split up.  Silvia finished work and we were soon driving to Old Downtown Quebec City.  Rather than drive around looking for parking I elected to pay the $12 to get it over with in a lot.  Being at the top of Old Quebec City, we were able to walk down the hill and explore along the way.  It was nowhere near as busy and we could explore and find food at the same time.  We landed upon a nice place called Bistro Tournebroche https://goo.gl/maps/XVwttXtx5KvQS6dEA  They had a very unique stir fry dish that was out of this world.  After dinner we were able to say good bye to Old Quebec City and it’s setting sun.  It was another long day and with such an early departure, we needed to prioritize a little preemptive packing and early bedtime.
I just tested the tilt of bike rack, it works to allow opening the hatch, so cool
Thanks Leslie 🙂
Before Silvia’s work day, we walked the area and found the most impressive flower work
Where we parked.

Heading to Old Quebec
I love the meld between old and new
